We've seen this over and over again.  A new president takes action during a crisis or to fulfill his promises and, instead of cooperative discussion on the best way to achieve it, the opposing party stonewalls it.  No president can fulfill his promises if half of Congress bulls up to stop it.

 

This is the same ol' same ol' - politics as usual while people are losing their jobs, homes, savings and self-respect.

Have to say that I'm a little suprised that action item one for the "change we can believe in" administration is to try to push through a bill bloated with several billion dollars of crap attached to it.

 

Then again, you have McCain and folks griping about the pork when a pork filled bailout bill was passed by everyone during the elections.
